Everywhere | TAB
Sung by “the other” female singer of Fleetwood Mac, Christine McVie, Everywhere was a huge hit for the band.
As it’s mainly built around keyboard chords and sparse, picked guitar parts, I’ve reworked what you could play if you’re the only guitarist in the band. Let’s start with the intro.
There’s a fast synth line—hopefully someone else is covering that—so while they do, you could play these underlying chords:
The verse chords move I – V three times, followed by VI – IV. In the chords and lyrics version, I’ve written these as triads, but here in TAB, they’re shown as power chords.
Once you can play what the TAB shows, feel free to build on it. The main aim here was to create something solid.
The chorus follows the same idea—solid and playable. Here it is using TAB. Again, feel free to develop it!
Finally, the outro explores the E chord in a different way from the intro—I thought this part worked really well:
I’ve labelled the chords here as Eadd4 (since there’s still a 3rd), and Emaj9, as the melody includes the major 7th and 9th.
