Guitar Courses
Acoustic & Electric Guitar Courses
Beginner Acoustic
In the Beginner Acoustic Course, you’ll learn how to play nine complete tunes using in-depth video lessons, full TAB, and loops to practice along with.
Most importantly, we develop 2nd guitar parts so you can play with me and the singer and more deeply understand each song.
Intermediate Acoustic
In the Intermediate Acoustic Course, we don’t settle for just the basic open-position chords. Instead, we move up the fretboard to play what is called barre chords.
Learning these tunes will unlock the guitar fretboard as we use the CAGED system to explore the fretboard in the context of each song.
Advanced Acoustic
In the Advanced Acoustic Course, we find huge chord extensions and unique chords using open strings. A few solos are incorporated as well.
Perhaps most importantly, we create 2nd guitar parts for most of these tunes, enabling you to play along with me and the singers as if we were a band.
Intermediate Electric
When playing Motown & Soul tunes, we must know all CAGED barre chords and pentatonic scales to build rhythm parts, incorporate licks and play solos.
Complete the Intermediate Electric Course and you will map out the fretboard, as well as gain an understanding of how to create a guitar part that works in a band.
Self-Eliminating Practice Routines
Arpeggios
There are four important arpeggios to learn on the guitar, the min7, the maj7, the dom7, and the seemingly super awkward min7b5.
In the Arpeggios Course, we master all these arpeggios in all CAGED shapes using extremely efficient exercises.
Chord Progression
These lessons don’t have any exercises, instead, we investigate how to best describe chords when they are put after each other and form progressions.
The Chord Progression Course use a combination of the major scale (Roman Numerals) and Blues language, to describe popular music.
Chords
The incredible CAGED system is the best way to organize the guitar fretboard. It explains all chords, and expands perfectly into arpeggios and modes.
Simply follow the eight steps in the Chords Course , it will be the best thing you’ve ever done for your understanding of the guitar.
Chromatic & Sweeping
The chromatic and sweeping exercises will sort out any problems you have with synchronizing your left and right hand as you play with a pick.
Take the Chromatic & Sweeping Course and you'll will improve your accuracy, build speed, as well as train you in reading rhythms better.
Major Scales
Using the CAGED system as our foundation, we can build five Major Pentatonic shapes and then develop these into major modes.
The self-eliminating practice routine takes care of this in an 8 step Major Scales Course. All you have to do is put the time in.
Minor Scales
Just like in major, using the CAGED system as our foundation, we can build five Minor Pentatonic shapes and then develop these into minor modes.
The self-eliminating practice routine takes care of this in an 8 step Minor Scales Course . All you have to do is put the time in.
