In The Ghetto (Elvis Presley) Guitar Lesson with TAB

In The Ghetto Guitar Lesson + TAB
In this guitar lesson, you'll find a chord analysis and TAB for all sections of In The Ghetto, adapted to work on just one guitar!

In The Ghetto | TAB

In The Ghetto is played diatonically in the key of Bb. The main riff ads and takes away a sus4 extension, looks like this using TAB (you probably need to use your thumb over the neck).

In The Ghetto TAB, main riff.

The verse maintains the riff but then goes to chords III – IV – V, like this:

In The Ghetto TAB, verse.

In verse 6, the F is held for another two beats and slowed down (ritardando).

The two bridge sections are different in length, the first is longer. The F is played (just like in verse 6), for another two beats and then slowed down. Here’s the TAB.

In The Ghetto TAB, chorus.

The second bridge is shorter, it also doesn’t hold the F7 at the end for as long.

Using this TAB, chords, lyrics, and chord chart, play along with the original recording on a loop and you’ll soon be able to play this.
