Get Back | TAB

Transcribing and merging two guitar parts into one playable version is time-consuming, but also one of the most rewarding challenges. Once you’ve mastered the TAB, you can start improvising around it.

Intro

To create a sense of movement, the intro has a slightly chaotic feel:

Get Back TAB, intro.

Verse

The verse keeps continuity so it doesn’t distract from the vocal, with variation provided by a honky-tonk pattern:

Get Back TAB, verse 1.

Chorus

Most choruses use an A7#9 in a D shape rather than the classic Hendrix chord shape. The D7 receives the same rhythmic treatment, alternating between honky-tonk and strumming:

Get Back TAB, chorus 1.

The second chorus sticks to honky-tonk, with a D-shaped A chord and the keyboard lick at the end:

Get Back TAB, chorus 2.

Solo

The solo resembles a verse, with a slight modification at the end to transition smoothly into the second chorus:

Get Back TAB, solo.
