California Gurls | TAB
An easy tune to add to your repertoire, California Gurls also works as a chord-shape exercise. Here’s idea 1 for the intro, verse, and rap section. If you don’t have a keyboard player, you’ll need to play this yourself; with a keyboard, you can experiment and drop in and out of the concept.

Bridge
For the bridge, try a similar approach, see if you can discover additional chord shapes here too.

Chorus

The trick is that Am7 and C are interchangeable, as are Bbmaj7 and Dm7.
Once confident with all sections, return to the chords lesson and use the chart to play along with Katy and Snoop.
