We Don’t Need Another Hero | TAB
Let’s find a way to play We Don’t Need Another Hero in a band situation. I did find an acoustic arrangement so it is possible but for now, let’s focus on doing it with a band.
Starting with the intro, I’ve gone for playing the pan flute riff here, hoping the keyboards play all the B slash chords. Should this not be the case, use the chords and lyrics lesson to guide you to long, sweeping chords.
Notice how the first C# is only a root note, not a power chord. The pull-off triplet is cool but perhaps a bit much. Here’s an alternative way to play that C#5 riff. I feel this works better even though it’s not exactly as the record.
This is the We Don’t Need Another Hero’s bridge section in TAB. You could vary that little C# Minor Pentatonic lick with time.
I’ve called the C#madd9 a C#sus2 here as that’s what’s in the TAB.
Here’s the chorus. The riff is played without the triplet now.
This is the middle 8. I’ve invited most of these parts. The chords are correct, so if you want to develop this section, go for it!
