Start getting in tune so you can play with the original recording. You need to set the tuner sharp to 446Hz, and then tune down a semitone.

What’s so awesome here is how the notes bleed into each other. The note choices are great too but it is the way it’s placed on the neck that really makes it.
However, you may want to try it further down, you’ll lose the bleed but it is somewhat easier to get to bar 4, it looks like this:

I think you should try both ways to play the intro.
