Price Tag | TAB
In its simplest form, Price Tag‘s chords are I – III – VI – IV. Start with playing it on the acoustic guitar and aim to feel those chord changes.
I would suggest you divide up the strumming to make it sound nice, and make the bass notes pop out to get the groove going. Here’s an idea for how you could play it on the acoustic without any other instruments.
On the electric guitar, it’s a good idea to have a steady rhythm but explore different chord shapes, here’s one way that would work.
Notice how I’ve left almost half the beginning of the bar to the drums, bass and keyboards.
Here’s another concept, it’s just one hit less:
Make sure you can play either of these all the way through before you start blending and varying, maybe even trying more chord shapes.
Here’s the Rap part, well, I’ve modified it a little bit to compensate for the lack of vocal production you’ll have live.
Towards the end, there are mutes, notice how it gets emptier which will set up the next chorus.
