Let’s look at how you could play the chords of Mercy in a band using TAB. Here’s the first riff.
Use this for the intro and verse.
Notice how if you added all notes up, it should really say G7omit3 as F is a b7, and there is no third. However, I feel like this would invite you to play a G7, which doesn’t sit right. That F is a bass line-like note only.
