Man! I Feel Like A Woman! | TAB
Clearly, it’s better to either fit a capo (fret 1) or play Man I Feel Like A Woman’s chords a semitone down from the original.
Either way, you want to think in the key of A, so let’s stick with that and avoid playing in Bb without a capo altogether.
Here’s the intro riff, which comes back later on as well.
The verse is a ZZ Top-esque riff in A, going to D and back (that’s I – IV). As we play this, we use G and C notes to get us from one to the other, here’s the TAB.
The bridge starts on chord bVIIx and goes back to A, that’s G5 – A5. I’d use a combination of long notes and riff rhythm if it’s only one guitar, like this:
The chorus is an E, and now we play the full triad, not just a power chord. In true country style, we chop a bar off, making the E five bars. This then goes to III (C#m) – I (A).
Repeat all that and then go to chord VI (F#m). Stop, and then back to the riff or solo depending on where you are in the tune.
On the record, there are many guitars, here’s an idea for how you could play Man I Feel Like A Woman’s chorus chords if it’s only one guitar.
Finally, the outro takes that riff idea and changes the chords, like this:
Play through all the TAB above, then using the chords, lyrics, and original recording, put it all together. Don’t forget the capo on the first fret!
