Hooked On A Feeling | TAB
As easy as it seems with the chords in the key of G (chords and lyrics lesson), I couldn’t work out a nice part for one acoustic guitar.
It is good to play along with the original recording using open-position chords and hear those Roman Numerals, but as soon as you want to play it, you’ll have to be in the key of Ab and play barre chords with your band instead.
So let’s remove the capo and try these parts on the electric guitar.

Perhaps you can blend these two ideas, or move to other chord shapes.
Here’s the first bridge idea.

That rake looks weird as if it should have been on the other side of the chord. I want you to rake after the chord, so slowly that it’s written as 16th notes. The little dots above the 8th notes mean play short.
Here’s another bridge concept.

Play this fast, picked part muted. Perhaps blend this with idea 1.
Here’s a chorus idea.

Now we rake the first chord. Experiment with other chord shapes as well.
Here’s the final chorus idea. Now we slide into the chord and keep that same concept going throughout.
